What is Beat-it.org?

We believe that due to drastic changes in criminal trends and behavior, and its leaning towards more serious and violent crimes, pro-active and more focused interventions need to be introduced into communities so as to create crime awareness and avoidance rather than the current reactive stance that so many seem to have adopted.

Beat-it.org's view, as agreed upon by the SAPS, is that one of the primary elements in South Africa's security crisis is the lack of communication and co-ordination between you (the community) and the Police and other Security Service Providers in your area. We, together with these role-players, believe that by community interaction, awareness and vigilance the fight against crime will be a far easier and more successful one.

Communication Platforms

Communication Platforms have proved to be a vital ingredient in this recipe.
